Chronaya Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Chronaya (“Chronaya,” the “App”), provided by ABK Works (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using Chronaya, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the App.

1. The Service

Chronaya is a local-first application for organizing personal or household deadlines, including warranties, return periods, subscriptions, documents, insurance, vehicle inspections, and other time-sensitive records.

Chronaya allows you to:

• create, edit, archive, restore, and delete deadline records;
• attach receipts, photos, screenshots, PDF files, and other supporting files;
• schedule local reminders;
• track recurring subscription dates;
• record user-confirmed cancellations or avoided payments;
• view estimated savings summaries;
• create and restore local backups;
• use the Free plan; and
• purchase and restore Lifetime Pro through Google Play.

Chronaya is a tracking and organization tool. It is not a bank, insurer, accounting service, legal service, government service, subscription-cancellation service, or professional financial adviser.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms under the laws that apply to you.

If you are under the age required to enter into a binding agreement in your country, you may use Chronaya only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. No Chronaya Account and Local-First Operation

Chronaya does not require a Developer-operated account.

Deadline records and attachments are stored on your device. The Developer does not operate a cloud service that automatically stores or synchronizes that content.

Google Play may require a Google account to purchase or restore Lifetime Pro. A Google account is managed by Google and is not a Chronaya account.

Because Chronaya does not maintain a remote copy of your deadline records or attachments, the Developer generally cannot recover them if they are deleted, corrupted, lost, or inaccessible.

4. License

Subject to these Terms, the Developer grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use Chronaya on devices you own or control, in accordance with Google Play rules and applicable law.

The App is licensed, not sold. Except for the limited license above, the Developer retains all rights in Chronaya, including its software, design, branding, text, and other materials.

Mandatory rights granted by applicable law are not limited by this section.

5. Your Content

“Your Content” means records, notes, prices, dates, files, attachments, links, and other information you add to Chronaya.

You retain your rights in Your Content. The Developer does not claim ownership of it.

You are responsible for:

• ensuring that you have the right to store and use Your Content;
• checking that dates, prices, recurrence settings, reminder times, and other entries are accurate;
• keeping sensitive documents and backups secure;
• complying with applicable laws and third-party rights; and
• deciding what information is appropriate to store on your device.

You must not use Chronaya to store or distribute unlawful content, malicious files, content that infringes another person’s rights, or information you are not authorized to possess.

6. Sensitive Information and Device Security

Chronaya can be used to store receipts, identity documents, insurance records, financial values, and other sensitive information.

Chronaya does not claim application-level encryption for the local SQLite database, App-managed attachments, or exported backup ZIP files unless the App expressly states otherwise. Security depends in part on your device, operating system, screen lock, installed apps, file permissions, and backup choices.

You accept the risks of storing sensitive information on your device and agree to use reasonable security measures, including a secure screen lock and careful handling of exported backups.

7. Reminders Are Not Guaranteed

Chronaya schedules reminders through operating-system notification and alarm services. Reminder delivery can be delayed, blocked, duplicated, or prevented by circumstances outside the Developer’s control, including:

• denied notification permission;
• unavailable exact-alarm access;
• battery optimization or power-saving settings;
• device shutdown, reboot, or storage failure;
• operating-system restrictions or defects;
• timezone or device-clock changes;
• manufacturer-specific background restrictions;
• notification-channel settings;
• invalid or already-passed reminder times; or
• App removal or local-data clearing.

You remain responsible for independently checking important dates and taking the required action. You must not rely on Chronaya as the sole reminder for legal deadlines, government documents, insurance, travel, medical matters, financial obligations, subscription renewals, return periods, or other high-consequence events.

8. Chronaya Does Not Perform Actions for You

Chronaya does not automatically:

• cancel subscriptions;
• submit returns, warranty claims, or insurance claims;
• renew or replace documents;
• make payments or stop payments;
• contact merchants, insurers, governments, or service providers; or
• verify that a deadline, price, document, or attachment is valid.

Action labels, reminders, and saved links are provided for organization and convenience. You must complete the relevant action yourself and confirm its result.

9. Savings and Avoided-Payment Estimates

Savings summaries and avoided-payment values are based on information you enter and actions you confirm.

These values are estimates and may be affected by taxes, exchange rates, billing dates, partial periods, fees, refunds, price changes, cancellation rules, or incomplete information. Chronaya does not independently verify that money was saved or that a payment was prevented.

Savings information is provided for personal organization only and is not financial, accounting, or tax advice.

10. Backups and Data Loss

Chronaya allows you to export a local backup and restore records from a compatible Chronaya backup.

You are responsible for creating, protecting, testing, and retaining backups. Backup files may contain sensitive information and are not protected by Chronaya-specific application-level encryption unless the App expressly states otherwise.

The Developer does not guarantee that:

• every backup can be restored on every App version, device, or platform;
• a third-party file or storage provider will preserve a backup;
• damaged, incomplete, modified, unsupported, or malicious backup files can be restored; or
• data will survive device failure, uninstall, operating-system changes, storage cleanup, or user error.

Chronaya rejects backup files that fail its supported structural, version, checksum, attachment, or record validation rules.

11. Free Plan

The Free plan includes:

• up to 5 active records;
• up to 1 attachment per record;
• up to 2 reminder offsets per record;
• the global notification time configured in Settings;
• local offline use;
• backup and restore;
• savings summaries; and
• an ad-free experience.

Archived records do not count toward the active-record limit.

Technical, device, operating-system, performance, file-system, and storage limits may apply in addition to these product limits.

12. Lifetime Pro

Lifetime Pro is a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase available through Google Play. It is not an automatically renewing subscription.

Lifetime Pro provides:

• no Chronaya-imposed product limit on active records;
• no Chronaya-imposed product limit on attachments per record;
• no Chronaya-imposed product limit on reminder offsets per record;
• optional record-specific notification times;
• access to selected early-access features; and
• the shared offline, backup, restore, savings, and ad-free features.

“Unlimited” or “no product limit” means that Chronaya does not impose an arbitrary plan limit. Device storage, memory, operating-system limits, notification limits, duplicate-reminder validation, performance constraints, file-system constraints, and other technical limits still apply.

“Lifetime” means access to the Lifetime Pro entitlement for the supported commercial lifetime of Chronaya on Google Play. It does not mean the biological lifetime of the purchaser and does not guarantee:

• perpetual availability of the App;
• compatibility with every future device or operating system;
• availability on another platform or app store;
• inclusion of every future product, service, or feature; or
• uninterrupted maintenance, updates, or support forever.

The Developer will not convert an existing Lifetime Pro purchase into a recurring subscription without your separate and explicit agreement.

13. Google Play Purchases, Verification, Refunds, and Restoration

Lifetime Pro purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Google Play determines the displayed price, currency, applicable taxes, supported payment methods, transaction processing, and certain refund rules.

By purchasing Lifetime Pro, you authorize Google Play to charge the payment method associated with your Google account.

Chronaya verifies and acknowledges completed purchases before granting Lifetime Pro access. Purchase status can also be checked again when the App starts, resumes, or when you use Restore Purchases.

Restore Purchases

Chronaya includes a Restore Purchases function for Lifetime Pro.

Restoration requires:

• the same Google Play account used for the original purchase;
• access to Google Play services;
• an active internet connection when Google Play needs to verify the purchase;
• a purchase that remains valid and has not been refunded, reversed, charged back, or revoked; and
• a compatible version of Chronaya.

A Google Play purchase does not automatically grant access on another platform or app store unless Chronaya expressly states otherwise.

Refunds and revoked purchases

Refund requests and payment disputes are handled according to applicable law and Google Play’s rules. You may contact Google Play or the Developer using the contact information below.

If a purchase is refunded, reversed, charged back, found fraudulent, or revoked, Chronaya may remove the corresponding Lifetime Pro entitlement.

Loss of Lifetime Pro does not intentionally delete, hide, truncate, detach, or rewrite existing local records or attachments solely because entitlement status changed. However, new Pro-only actions may be restricted under the current Free-plan limits until usage is reduced or Lifetime Pro is restored.

Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights or statutory refund rights that apply to you.

14. Feature Changes and Updates

The Developer may update Chronaya to improve security, reliability, compatibility, design, or functionality.

Features may be added, changed, limited, replaced, or removed when reasonably necessary because of:

• legal or Google Play requirements;
• security or abuse concerns;
• technical limitations;
• operating-system changes;
• discontinued third-party services; or
• product maintenance or redesign.

The Developer will not intentionally delete or hide existing local records merely because plan rules change. Compatibility, availability, and exact feature behavior may nevertheless change over time.

Early-access features may be experimental, incomplete, changed, or discontinued and are not guaranteed to become permanent features.

15. Third-Party Services

Chronaya interacts with third-party services and apps when needed for features you use, including:

• Google Play and Google Play Billing;
• operating-system notification, alarm, and file services;
• file pickers, file viewers, browsers, phone apps, and sharing interfaces;
• email, messaging, or cloud-storage apps you choose; and
• websites or links you open from a saved record.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The Developer does not control and is not responsible for their availability, security, content, billing, or data practices.

16. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• use Chronaya for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes;
• attempt to bypass purchase verification or Lifetime Pro entitlement controls;
• interfere with, damage, overload, or disrupt the App;
• introduce malware or malicious files;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent technical protections except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App without written permission; or
• use the App in a way that violates another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, or other legal rights.

17. Availability and Support

Chronaya may occasionally be unavailable or may not work correctly on certain devices, operating-system versions, or manufacturer configurations.

The Developer does not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, compatible, or continuously maintained. Support is provided through the contact method below but is not guaranteed to be immediate or available in every language.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chronaya is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

The Developer does not guarantee that:

• reminders will always be delivered at the selected time;
• records, calculations, recurrence dates, or savings estimates will always be accurate;
• attachments or backups will never be lost or corrupted;
• the App will meet every personal, legal, financial, insurance, travel, or business requirement; or
• Google Play, third-party links, apps, stores, or services will remain available.

You are responsible for reviewing important information and maintaining alternative records or reminders where appropriate.

This section does not exclude warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, documents, money, savings, opportunity, access, business, or profits arising from or related to your use of Chronaya.

Where liability cannot be excluded, the Developer’s liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

20. Discontinuation and Entitlement Enforcement

You may stop using Chronaya at any time by uninstalling it.

The Developer may discontinue distribution, updates, purchase availability, restoration support, or technical support when reasonably necessary because of legal requirements, Google Play action, security concerns, technical limitations, or discontinuation of the product.

Chronaya may refuse to grant or may remove Lifetime Pro access when Google Play reports that a purchase is invalid, refunded, reversed, charged back, fraudulent, or revoked.

Discontinuation of the App does not automatically delete backup files you exported or information retained by Google Play.

21. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections granted by the laws of your country of residence. Disputes may be submitted to courts, consumer arbitration committees, consumer courts, or other authorities that have jurisdiction under applicable law.

Before starting formal proceedings, you are encouraged to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when Chronaya, applicable law, Google Play requirements, or our business practices change.

The updated Terms will show a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate method, such as an in-app notice, Google Play listing, release notes, or the website where these Terms are published.

Your continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If applicable law requires separate consent, we will request it.
